Take benedryl or tylenol pm...these will not hurt you. and will put you to sleep for a little while longer.

Maybe you are going to bed too early...try a brisk walk in the early evening......your body is adjusting to the pregnancy. A warm soak in a bubble bath to relax your stress away, warm milk, and a good book and get into bed. Enjoy it now, and try to rest, you will be having many sleepless nights soon. If you are taking an afternoon "siesta" stop, this maybe what is interfering with your night time rest. Also try sleeping with a pillow between your knees. I found when I was further along, I slept better on the sofa than in my bed.

good luck...it will be over soon....

Im with you, girl!!

Im 33 weeks and 3 days the painful hips and the not sleeping thing sucks!! But the not sleeping might be mother natures way of preparing us for what's to come!!! :)

Try lots and lots of pillows!! And a heating pad for those hips! Thats what Im doing!!

Even tossing and turning hurts... and it's not funny anymore... :o(

I'm 32 weeks and I'm the same... The pillows and all that stuff are not working for me... I do find that taking a warm shower before bed relaxes me a little more and keeps me asleep a little longer... Hope you feel better...

Ugh, not looking forward to that in the future!

I would strongly suggest getting yourself a yoga video like Lamaze and Yoga Jounal Present: Yoga for your Pregnancy. I love that one. They show a lot of postures that help to alleviate hip and pelvic pain. And also postures to get up in the middle of the night to try.

I think one that the recommended...I don't remember it's name...but get on all fours and rock your pelvis in circles. Belly toward the floor breathing in, breathng out circling away toward your bum.

Hang in there girl! It's almost over!

I totally feel your pain!!! I'm 36 weeks 5 days! And i CAN"T sleep at all!!! I hate it, b/c when my baby comes i won't get any sleep and I'm at the end of my pregnancy, and i won't to be able to rest!!!!! And nothing helps!!! My Dr told me to take Tylenol PM but i don't want to be dependent on it......
