What kind of guy is he? Every father needs some alone time once in a while get him a gift card for a massage or a golf outing. Or just spend some quality time with him pamper him for a day take him to a movie and dinner a little date so that you to can spend some time together. Hate to say it but our tomorrows aren't guaranteed. Sometime all it take is to let a father know that he is needed and appreciated . Good luck to you.

We got tired of giving the same type of presents all the time so last year we gave my Dad a donation to a children's fund and a card explaining that it was because they did not have a wonderful dad like we did.

It made the old geazer cry! Score!!
J/K about the geazer part...

Toy. All guys, young and old, love toys. Something electronic and having to do with cars or planes would work. Or one of those remote controlled robots or something.

It depends on your budget and your dad, most men like tools and gadgets so something like a multi tool if he doesn't have one. Find something he loves that is worn out and replace it.
