His accessory is one in all the greater valuable stabs i've got heard at doing a Scottish accessory (some like Jessica Lange in Rob Roy are only painful), however the actor that performed him grew to become right into a Canadian of Irish descent. Doohan sound greater like an Irish than a Scottish call to me (and that i'm Scottish).

Although the brogue is an interesting feature, I think Braveheart probably did more to popularize Scottish(Celtic) culture than Scotty did.

I'm of mostly Scots-Irish descent, and no, I don't think any better of Star Trek engineer "Scotty." That's stupid. (Are you a troll?)

"Land of the hills and heather
God help us in cold weather
Why aren't our trews of leather?
Scotland, the brave!

Och aye, we're the lads all kilty
No court will find us guilty
For we're the men who drunkly built thee
Scotland, the brave!

Who can insult or doubt us?
There's no reign or wind about us
Our skirts defeat the Kraut, us
Scotchmen, the brave!
