Well, you could have one side that says Clinton didn't do enough to hunt down Osama bin Laden, and left this to Bush. You have another side that says after Bush took the correct action in Afghanistan, he drug us into a war against a country that did not attack us, turned a surplus into a major debt, etc. I think our credibility has been shot throughout the past 7 years - and I think we were in pretty good standing in the world when Clinton was pres.

Clinton did not damage anything but his marriage, and even that survived.
The Republicans damaged our image by persecuting Clintons sex life in public, more sophisticated Europeans thought we were dotty doing that.
Clinton reduced the bloated military in response to the end of the Cold war during the Reagan era, and with the good sense to see that the only practical way to pay for such expensive undertakings was with world backing.
No reason to keep us at code red for a country who, at the time, no longer existed.
He couldn't have cut back that badly, it would take more than a ten months to remake a military force left as toothless as the Republicans would like to have us think.
Bush has allowed endless perks to corporations from the time he took office to now, perks that are counter to the well being of what was once our vast middle class.
Bush rescinded pollution controls and wetlands preservation, encouraged runaway banking practices and has done his best to ignore the very people who put him into office.
Our country is poorer, tireder, sadder, worn out and divided in many ways, and the man does not seem to notice or care.
Thats bad.
He has left us in deep debt, while ordering tax cuts for the wealthy, and never tackling the problems of healthcare or social security. His reorganization of government has led to more cronyism and less efficiency, then he tells you that government can't work. Maybe if he hired the best people instead of his best friends to run things it would work.
What a novel idea!

That's easy, Bush by far, the ruination of an economy, destruction of both civil liberties and the constitution, believes that torture is a good thing, supports profit over the environment, allows government corruption, while Clinton boosted the economy, promoted peace and had the world's respect while Bush has done everything possible to isolate the US from the world while being supported by white supremacists, Neo-Nazis, and others who don't believe in the Constitution.

As far as I know, Clinton was never persued by the ICC to stand trial for war crimes, Bush is. Bush's contempt for democracy, hatred of the low and middle classes, blatant cronyism, and general ineptitude have all done much more damage to our country than Clinton could ever do in his wildest fantasies (the ones without naked women).

Clinton did more damage to our country than we can even imagine. President Bush has been trying to right all of the wrongs that Clinton did. Period.
Thank God President Bush was elected.

Clinton, his economy was in the toilet and unemployment was high. The opposite is true of Bush. Clinton did nothing to fight terror in fact he did nothing to find and prosecute the ones that had the WTC bombed. He just let them go free along with OBL.

Bus ignored national security and terrorism for the first 8 months of his reign resulting in the 911 attacks!
Why did the FBI obstruct their own investigation by denying FISA warrants from the field office that arrested the 20th h911 hijacker?

Objectively: Bush
Seven years ago:
-We were not in a war with the wrong country
-We had a vibrant economy
-Lower gas prices
-Friends around the world
-Competent leadership
Remember...I am being objective.
