My mother?

My mother tells me of for makeing my own food she took my tv from my room and gave it to her partners sons because theres did'nt work. and when I used my playstation 2 down stairs she went mad. I live In the house on my own most of the time because shes at her partners house down the road alot. When she whent on holiday with her partner she took his to sons and there sons friend and she took his girl who lives a long way off and did'nt invite me. I work and have to give her 100£ boad a week. she Never gets me a christmas present or birthday presents and If I ask for any she tells me to get lost. and at christmas they have a christmas dinner dont invite me and Im not allowed to make my own tea. once I got her a mothers day card and some flowers and she said you should'nt of botherd. and I whent to work on my bike and got hit by a car and when my mother saw me she said you will do anything to get out of work. what shall I do?

Oh wow! Your situation really struck something within me. I'm now pregnant with my first son and I also have a step-son who is nearly 7 already. I couldn't EVEN ONCE begin to think of treating my own son in such a terrible way. If anything, and this may sound a bit selfish, but the love I have for my growing son now is more intense and powerful than any love I've ever felt - for anyone - including my stepson.

What your mom is doing to you is not natural and very cruel. And I know how you feel.

Have you ever tried talking to her about why she treats you this way? Many people who get involved with other partners, after they have a child of their own, feel pressured to show their partners a lot of direct love in order to make them feel more involved as a family. Their own children often feel neglected because of the pressure and tension in the air. This could be what your mom is going through with her partner right now.

I say try talking with her and let her know how much this is bothering you. If nothing else works, keep in mind that just because someone is related to you or a family member doesn't automatically guarantee love or any sort of connection between you.

This is the most terrible situation though! I've heard of sons wanting to exclude their mothers from their lives - but NEVER have I heard of a woman treating her son (who wants to be close to her) so badly.

i would get my own place but before you move tell her how you feel then leave then shell realize that she needed you around more then she thought and if she ask for anything show her tough love but at the same time be respectfull that way shell know your not playing around and shell start to come around also
