No. It just seems that way. Think of all the things you do outside of Christmas shopping and you will realize you really are not doing that much more than you always do. All the added stresses of trying to figure what to get makes it seem you are doing more than usual.

I reckon we walk the same distance as people who do the marathon, i did my christmas shopping this week and im exhausted, my poor feet are in tatters, it,s a work out for sure.

It meets all the tenants of exercise; moving around, sweating ,breathing hard and getting frustrated with yourself for that kind of energy output with little self-satisfaction to show for it.

nope...u're not walking fast enuff to burn any calories. most times u're walking in a crowded area at a snails pace behind a grandma and she's pushing the triplets in one of those side by side triplet strollers
