No. Perfect Storms are incredibly rare, and that Kobe's Laker's would require the basketball equivalent of that phenomenon in order to hoist that golden trophy.
In order for the Lakers to have any shot at all, they're going to need to make a major trade (like for Jason Kidd) that doesn't hurt them for this season, they're going to need to stay healthy, and they're going to need other teams to get injured.
The Lakers probably won't even make it to the Finals because the Spurs are just too damn good. The Spurs were without Duncan and Parker last night, and still went the distance against LA. When an NBA team is missing its two best players, they should be easily beaten by a real contender. The fact that the Lakers barely took down the Spurs, shows that they aren't contenders. Assuming that Duncan *or* Parker is healthy in the playoffs, I can't see the Lakers getting past them.
But even if the Lakers do make the playoffs, they're going to have to beat Boston's Big 3. And only 2 teams have managed to do that all season. Boston's rediculous, and if they're healthy for the playoffs, I'd be surprised if even the mighty Spurs were able to take them down.
I love Kobe, and I like to watch the Lakers win. I just don't think it's going to happen in the Finals this year.

Only if the whole Celtics starting lineup gets injured. The Laker are better than last year, but this year is the Celtics all the way. They put together the perfect blend of veteran starters that all want nothing more than to win a title, and they will work together to do it. Plus the Celtics bench is sick, they can fill in at any position to rest starters without really losing anything on the floor.
Kobe still plays too much for himself, and doesn't have quite enough players around him to beat this team.

Well there is a couple of key factors here:
Bynum has to stay consistent, Farmar has to also stay consistent.
The Laker have got to get Kwame Brown out of there.
Sasha,Teriaf, and Mihm have to step up there game as well, Sasha has done some damage as of late.
Lamar is the KEY here, Lamar is not playing like an allstar as everyone expected..He needs to give the Lakers 20 ppg 10 rpg 5 asp, he has the ability to do it..
If they do this than they just might.
Kobe has to give at least 30 ppg 6 asp 6 rpg

Not this year. They're are 2 years away in my opinion. Bynum is excelling as is farmar but they need to try to get that trade done with the Nets to get Kidd. Ship away Odom and 2 first round picks for him. Odom doesn't play well in the Lakers system. Having Kidd they will be contenders now and he can pass the knowledge down to Famar how to be a great pg in the league. Famar defenitly has the talent.

sure. the reason they misplaced this twelve months is via the fact they have been drained from 3 straight away journeys to the finals. With relax and a few extra products( youthful pg, 3pt taking photos, returned up massive guy) the Lakers will win yet another identify quicker fairly than later. playstation - Kobe possibly older yet he remains enjoying greater valuable than any modern participant. yet assume the Lakers to start making plans for existence after him via paying for the two Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.
