Almost everything needs friction to work properly. While walking if there was no friction you wouldn't be walking any more, you would be slipping and that type of motion isn't called walking. So in a sense friction has given a systematic names too.

But, my dear, there are so many; all you need do is pick one! Could you....sit in a chair without friction? No, you would slide out of it at your slightest movement. Could you pick up a spoon without friction? No, your fingers could not grip it. Just pick something, anything that needs friction to do. Use your brain, not your computer and internet.

In fact, almost every activity you could think of involves some friction.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could turn friction off? Just sit on your bum at the top of a hill an WEEEEEEEEEEEEE, your away!
