Do you mean a motorcycle or a bike(bicycle?) and did you just post in the wrong category? I am always barefoot and my bicycles are my main method of transportation, I ride bicycles barefoot every day. Two have flat pedals, one spiked metal -after ten years of going barefoot there's really no problem with the metal, that's even my tour bike I use on long trips only. In over ten years of daily riding I've never had the smallest scratch, and I have had to jump off or made emergency stops a few times, at bicycle speed (not racing, although I sometimes ride pretty fast for a normal bike) my feet can handle that.

But I wouldn't ride a motorcycle barefoot. Come to think of that, you wouldn't get me on one of those things wearing full body armour, I think they're scary. (obviously found the question through 'barefoot' rather than browsing the category :)).

Are talking about bicycle pedals?

Because it's against the law and it's very unsafe to ride with out protection on your feet on a motorcycle/dirt bike/atv

And the last time i looked motorcycles dont have pedals.
(Foot Pegs, Foot Rest,)

When I was a kid we rode them barefooted even after the rotating portion of the pedals fell off. Just the rod sticking out. I probably couldn't do it now, but if I were to try, I think I'd wrap barbed wire around the pedals just to see how tough I am.

No doubt flat petals. I can ride barefooted but why put your feet through the pain with metal petals. It's enough riding barefooted

I have no desire to ride a motorcycle barefooted (too many things bouncing down the road to damage a bare foot...shifting wouldn't be terribly comfy either).

I'll ride without my head covered quicker than I'll ride without my feet covered.

Are you talking about a motorcycle or a bicycle? Because it would be idiotic to ride a motorcycle barefoot. Even if you're just going around the neighborhood.

Rat trap pedals have teeth.
Ever seen a big toenail ripped off?
Felt it?

Even flip flops, while stupid, are better.
Wear shoes. You can't walk or ride with busted feet.
Remember that when you get a motorcycle.
