The red blood cell is a specialized cell for transporting oxygen. In mammal, the red blood cell does not have a nucleus and is more or less a bag of hemoglobin, but in birds the red blood cell has a nucleus.

The white blood cells are lymphocytes, specialized in antibody production or in cellular immunity.

They carry oxygen on their heme group and they also carry antibodies and build antibodies on white cells only. Blood also carries electrolytes and co2
