wow... cheesecake lovers are out today... I'll have to try this cherry cheesecake!!!
but promise me that sometime in your life you will try Ricotta Cake!!! It'll pretty much change your life :)

Ingredients:
1 package yellow cake mix or your favorite "from scratch" recipe
2 pounds ricotta cheese
3 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp confectioners sugar
Directions:
In large bowl, mix all the ingredients, except confectioners sugar, at low speed.
In another bowl, mix the cake batter.
Put all of the cake mixture in a 13x9-inch greased baking pan. Spoon the ricotta mixture on top of the batter until it is all used. The ricotta will settle down through the batter as the cake is baked. Bake in a 350-degree oven for one hour and 10 minutes. Start testing it at about 55 minutes or so. It takes from 55m to a little over an hour to cook depending on the kind of pan and the temperature of the oven. When it is cooked, cool for about 10 minutes before sprinkling the top with the confectioners sugar. Do not remove from the pan. Refrigerate for at least one hour, an then serve right from the pan. May be made a day or two ahead.

I top it with whipped cream though.. i cook it in two 9 inch round pans... then for the middle I spread whipped cream and a whole bunch of mini chocolate chips... then frost the whole outside wiht whipped cream and mini chocolate chips...

Retrograde is right. The biggest drain on the economy and our paychecks is the military budget. It is as big as all of the other countries of the world combined. Nearly half of every dollar you pay in taxes goes to the military budget.
Corporate welfare is also a huge drain.
as far as cakes goes, my Mom used to make a red velvet cake that was really good. that being said, I could live on ice cream cake.

that cake sounds good, you can't talk junk food with me, I have a problem with it for some reason, tho I have improved my diet overall this past year and don't eat as much as I used to but I do love a good cake with ice cream more then pie or rolls or donuts, or candy.
my favorite cake is chocolate on chocolate. with some chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate whip cream, talk about hurting yourself lol.! my second choice of cake is a good pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing. yummy!

All the pork that Congress throws into bills that keeps them get reelected time and time again.
I think that if a Congressperson puts in pork into a bill he/she should their last act and can't run for reelection EVER!
Our government waste more money than gets to helping people.

I agree with concerned. The congress keeps voting to give themselves raises when there are soldiers who are unemployed and homeless. As well as regular citizens.
