Hold the shift key, the command (apple) key and the number 3 all at the same time to take a screen shot. It should automatically save it to your desktop.

If your using Leopard I think you need to use grab
in the older versions shft+command(apple key)F3 will take a screen shot. You can also search help for "screen shot" and get instructions. Mac help will give you a good answer for most of these types of questions

Press the print screen button on your keyboard. The image will then be on your clipboard. Open paint or any other picture editor and paste. Don't know how it works for a mac.

Yes. In the applications folder> in the utilities folder there is a program called "Grab". This will take screen shots. If you need detail, send me an email

Or hold down apple-shift-4 to get a cross-hairs cursor that can swipe all or part of the screen.
