OK.........don't panic. It's not all that bad. First, do you have any antispyware on your rig? If not, get Ad-aware, Spybot, Advanced Spyware Remover, or any free program you like from http://majorgeeks.com and install them. Next, reboot your computer in safe mode and turn off system restore. Scan the crap out of your computer until EVERY scan comes back clean. When the scans are clean, reboot your rig, delete every system restore point, and make a new system restore point immediately. This new point will reflect your clean computer's profile. Keep your security up to date, watch what you click on, and surf safely. Rootkits are not hard to get rid of, but they can regenerate from your system restore files. Hope this has helped.

Download and Install Super Antispyware free. Reboot into Safe mode and Run SAS. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

One step you do not mention, is to turn off your system restore.
The reason for this is that virus cleaning does not clean this file. So, even though you have removed it everywhere else, it comes back when you reboot ( cuz it's in the system restore files)
Once you have turned this off, now clean your pc again.
Now reboot and check again.
It should be gone. If it is not, then check with Symantec.com
You may need to go into the registry or something.
Once, cleaned, turn system restore back on.
Good luck.

Re-load windows from a system restore disk (call the manufacturer's 800 number to buy one if you don't have one and ask them how to do a manufacturer's system restore to eliminate all viruses and start from scratch). Then install a good anti-virus/anti-spyware program like Norton Internet Security...

Download the free version of Superantispyware. This program I use, and is well known to find spyware & trojans missed or unable to be removed by other software. (There is no conflict with your existing antivirus). Plus you will get auto. updates daily.
