I'm not condeming him for his beliefs. However, as president, his beliefs impact my life. For example, if he supports teaching creation in public schools, his beliefs impact mine.

I know many of you don't care about their faith, and I don't either. But the only reason Huckabee is rising in the poles is his sudden emphasis on his faith, bringing the fundamentalists back into the fold. What are his qualifications? How could he possibly be half as qualified as McCain?

I don't care that he is a Baptist preacher. I don't care that Romney is Mormon or if Joe Blow is an atheist. I do care about doing the right thing, careful planning, respect for our constitution and mankind. If a higher power or someones conscience prevents a person from making a self serving decision that has a negative effect on the people of our country then great. The great majority of elected officials have proven to be sell outs with an agenda and I am really sick of it.

Yes, a vote for Huckabee is a vote against science. As for him being a Baptist preacher.....well, you get what you get with a Baptist preacher. He's going to be superstitious and closed minded about many modern topics because "If it's good enough for Moses it's good enough for me."
I don't think Moses was required to understand the basics of economics, or stem cell research, or threats to the life of the mother in late-term abortions.
Huckabee will most likely treat social problems with prayer and THAT'S ALL. No taking action-----just pray.
I'm sure he is praying for houses to magically appear for the Katrina victims right now.
On the other hand, one of those Hollywood liberals, Brad Pitt, is actually building houses in New Orleans.
Hm. I vote for Brad. Not because he's cute or a liberal, but because he actually DOES THINGS TO HELP this nation.

No, it is a vote for a Christian who just happens to disagree with Darwinian evolution.
Do you really think Huckabee's view of creation will impact any legislation that comes to his desk?

How would that be a vote against science? Maybe then we could get evolution out of schools so that kids don't keep evolving into poorly educated adults -- oh, wait...that's already happening.

In a post-Bush America, does it really matter anymore? The bar can hardly be set any lower.

As a liberal, I'm supporting the Huckster in winning the republican primary. He will be easy to beat.
