See...Now it depends on your concept of a genius.

By your perception it appears that "genius" is an individual who understands and excels in one or more subject areas.

If someone feels the need to challenge someone "they think" is of a greater calibur, then think about these things first:

1. A genius, although a genius will actually have some pretty bad weaknesses in other areas such as: prodigy at math/horrible social skills, Prodigy in humanities/horrible at self-intelligence or science (Mind you these are generalizations).

2. Ask yourself: "Why do I feel the need to compete? What is the reason why I feel like I need to compete with someone whom I consider "genius"

3. A bit of simple advice, If you feel like you don't have a chance against someone/or doing something...well then you'll fail at everything you plan, plain and simple.

Now if you feel you can muster up the confidence to do something and do something well...The chances are much better that your going to beat the socks of someone if not give them a run for their money.

I hope this helps

You go, SGH4!!! My sister told me a couple of years ago that I should stop trying to prove that I'm smarter than she is because I'm not and never will be. Never crossed my mind. She's been trying to make me over in her own image ever since I was born, and now that she no longer speaks to me, I can only say it's a relief. She's tall, gorgeous and brilliant, and I'm proud of her for her accomplishments. You see, it's very hard to compete with a person who does not compete. Just ask my husband. He's been trying to compete with me for years. He found that I could run faster than he could. Aerobic exercise has been a no-no for him ever since. He never went fishing again after I caught a minnow and he caught nothing. It's so sad when somebody limits themselves because of competition. You simply can't be the best at everything, and what you're the best at, you can be sure somebody will best you. How can you enjoy life that way?

beat out someone at the "game of life"???

my advice to you is to concentrate on yourself and not someone else. we each have our own path. please realize that or you'll lead a miserable life led by competition... do what YOU need to do to be happy or you will be ruled by these other people, the people that you're comparing yourself to. THEY will rule YOU
