Probably algae. An upholstery shampooer should do the job nicely. See if you can get some cleaner with algicide from a boat supplier or a hot tub supplier.

I had to deal with this when I was a housekeeper.

You'll want your furniture on a patio of some sort, and you'll need a brush of some sort, a rag to finish wiping and drying with, and a bucket of some kind of cleaning solution. I favor either bleach or Lysol.

Whatever you use, give your furniture plenty of time to finish drying.
