Cho, Robert Hawkins, Eric and Dylan. All were not accepted by others. Besides food and water, acceptance is the number 1 human need. All these young men lashed out at a society that misunderstood them, that doesn't accept differences, that puts everyone in a straightjacket, especially boys - you must be and act and talk a certain way or you will be kicked and laughed at, no one cares that you are trying, they only care that you are good at being "normal". There should be things in place to bring these individuals up to the level of their peers from an early age, work with them, so they will be happy like the rest of the world, and won't internalize anger to the point of insanity.

People are jerks. That's why I go against the crowd of normal, and do what I can to help other people...

There was a story about a guy who jumped off the golden gate bridge and left a note saying if one person said hi to him or smiled at him, he would not jump off the bridge. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

Another story about a guy who was made fun of because he was gay and got totally abused, pissed on in the locker bathrooms, and he hung himself.

People should stop trying to be normal and go out and make a difference in the world. And all it takes is a simple smile or greeting, or start a conversation with a loner. People argue about ethics and religion, but never go through the actions about their religion. If only people would get along...

These are weak minded, follower type people that want to blame the world for their problems, there is nothing you could put in place to change that, it is a decision made by each induvidual, ones happiness does not depend on other people. Those boys were weak cowards, they would not have went in to a building full of armed people and tried what they did. I think we can attributte alot of this to the entitlement mentality in America now, every one thinks somebody owes them something( I don't feel accepted because you did;nt choose me on you're team), tough thats life, accept it and move on, the team you do get chosen for might be a better team.

The bad guys prefer unarmed victims!!.
When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option.

Better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!
**Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens.**

So you are against the private ownerships of gun! Do you believe in fire extinguishers? Why, you can always call the fire department!!

Not being accepted is hardly an excuse to buy a gun and start shooting random people...

These people were psychotic and unstable... the world is better off with them gone, its merely a shame that they took innocent lives with them... These people weren't going to go from taking a shotgun into a mall and wasting a dozen people to productive member of society merely due to a few hugs and a shoulder to cry on...

not being accepted is a part of growing up for many people. And most don't go off the deep end. There are a lot of other factors at play in these peoples flips.

'society that misunderstood them'... are you kidding me?

if you take a gun and start shooting people,.... yeah, I don't understand that... that requires a sick mind.. you can get upset, depressed, frustrated, angry about how people see you or treat you... but there's a variety of options to deal with that... school staff, parents, psychologist, even police if necessary... but taking a gun? I'm sorry, but that's simply WRONG... now matter which way you look at it and at the end of the day, the shooter is to blame for his action... not the society... 'cause there's no excuse for shooting people as a civilized way of dealing with issues...

Not an excuse or even a good reason to murder innocent people ever. I don't care what your life was like, you don't commit murder.
