I took a look at the resolved questions and I noticed that some people give always best answers to some other certain people. What is your opinion? Is the Greek-Italian lobby doing a good "job"?

It is definitely frustrating when someone takes the time to answer a question with insight and consideration, and then some other person answers with, "I don't know. You're dumb. Ha ha ha," and they win best answer!
I think it's ultimately best to remember that even if the question is being asked/answered as a ploy for points, other people who truly want an answer to that or a similar question will read the insightful answers. Basically, if your answer helps someone out along the way, I think that's what really counts.

Do they (meaning the points) really matter? The only time I get angry is when I have taken the time to write a long and helpful (I think) answer which has gained a few thumbs up (which are like gold dust here) and the asker doesn't bother to choose a best answer.

I have also got Top Contributor - that's because I have no life and spend my day answering questions - not because I am part of any thing 'major' (chance would be a fine thing!). I actually feel ashamed that I have spent so much time on the computer answering questions rather that doing more 'useful' things like watching movies - selling/buying on eBay or maybe - just maybe caring for my house and family ....no they can wait ... I have more questions to answer!

OK, this is getting ridiculous and shameful.
Seems like a gang of young school kids against another....One that we all know and nobody dares to defend.
What in the world is the problem here? Why everybody acts like a 6 yo? Why the mentality of "you are either with us or against us"?
Why do you imply there is some high conspiracy to the top answers and you know the (right) answer?
It doesn't matter how the best answers are chosen by the asker, it matters that we all,as Greeks and experts in this section, answer honestly what we know and what our opinion is on a certain matter.
I really wish the childish behavior of some "members", new and old, stops and I really, really wish for everybody to come here and answer any question, if you like to, but please, PLEASE stop this game, it's getting very boring by now.
BTW, to all the old members who don't frequent here anymore, if as you claim there is competition for best answers...this is for you:"idou i Rodos, idou kai to pidima"
And some of us jumped right in...wanna join?

i dont know about others but surely I never put people to vote for me or to give me a best answer, in purpose!
But I know getting a best answer through voting is quite difficult these days :P
But as a voter, I can once again say that I only vote for the answer that I find best, no matter who has posted it
and the same thing goes for thumbs up and down
Are these kind of things happening in other sections too?

Well, honestly, I think you should take it up with the Greek "Congress" or Parliament...not sure what you have there. This is an important issue and most be fully resolved for everyone involved in the case or things will just go straight to heck.

Rose Avatar, give an explanation why so often there appear trolls, as the present one, "asking" about persons who are supposed to control "best answers" while you "get" illegally 10 (TEN) daily with your poor (not to say not even existing) knowledge and personality, and how comes that you became the top contributor and top answerer of this section in only 15 days?

Mr Pogos you were once before accused of provoking he climate in this section and you do it again.
Since you are so on the insight of the lobby you mention, why don't asked them directly by private mail. You seem to know too many things that concerned them. Things that only less than four people know.
Time you stopped that game.

• I fail to see how the famous twin couple of the old members was threatened by my answer here that they come in unison to throw their bile. First the one and then other in their usual appearances in neat order first the dog then the master but always together. You both can bark as much as you like, judging by your own deeds and the manipulation you were doing since your old days here, by starring and using thumbs to your liking. So instead of attacking, get your favourite more questions to get her to the top, since you are so keen on integrity. Word unknown to your vocabulary. Vigilantes of the correctness are you worried that this will get you your empire down.
As for my heritage, I never claimed nor did I imply by saying or writing that I was noble or blue-blood. Amongst us we all know who was the Aristocrat in this section by his boosting and his entry on Wikipedia. How much did it cost to get a family tree? It is a pity a lawyer, having obviously nothing to do, than to attack women and threaten. Yet unconscious that the written threats constitute a crime.
