Hi, i was wondering if someone could give me a list of books and sources of information about options that would teach a novice investor all you would need to know about them.

My recommendation is to start at the CBOE learning center,

http://www.cboe.com/LearnCenter/default.aspx ,

and take the free online tutorials and classes.

After that I suggest you read one or two good books on options. There is a bibliography at

http://www.cboe.com/Institutional/Bibliography.aspx

that only contains good books about options. Try to go through several of them at a large book store, a large library, or at amazom.com to find selections that are appropriate for you. My favorites are are "Options as a Strategic Investment" by Lawrence McMillon and "Options Volatility & Pricing" by Sheldon Natenberg but those may not be the best for you.

Another learning resoarce is

http://www.888options.com/

although I have not reviewed the contents recently.

well all you need to know is a lot. I deal w/ options all the time, and there's no way I know 'everything'. Anyway, toward the end of jim cramers book he explains options well. I think that's a good place to start.
