I feel like we are all machines
we have a brain which is (processor+RAM+Wires+Secondary storage)
our body consists of
bones instead of metal
flesh instead of plastic
our emotions are nothing more that some chemicals that our brain recognize and interact with
yes I admit, we are more complicated than any machine we have ever created.
but do you think that is enough to say we are not machines ?
Can any body tell me something that we can do and a machine can NEVER do?

when you say we have a soul, you should be able to prove that we have a soul

you will hear in the near future about robots that can feel happiness, sadness, ......
plus as i said those feeling are nothing more than some chemicals
thats why some drugs can make you happy while in fact you are not

a machine can re-produce if it is programmed to do so.
most of the machines we have were actually made by other machines.
a machine does not grow, but a machine can live longer than any of us
a machines do have a heart (engine)
a machine's engine also "beat" harder when the machine do hard work

we have consciousness, thats something that no machine has.
And we have intelligence, as in a way that we are able to make decisions on very complex basis, something that machines cannot do.
and we can analyse ourselves, and have a sense of self - the fact of knowing yourself that you yourself exist in a space is something that machines cannot do. Machines also have not evolved, they rely on humans to program them, always always. Humans give them input for them to give an output. Whereas, humans build on an input themselves according to what they want, and store it in and give out outputs, as in emotions or expressions.

Something a human can do that a machine can never do: Give you a good answer to this question ;)
I feel like you have answered your own question. We are shaping ourselves to become machines.
Scientists have removed the instinct gene in mice that make them afraid of predators like cats. Soon, we will have the ability to genetically remove the unwanted from ourselves. Think of a society where there are no genetic imperfections and we are all created en masse with an ideal weight, body type, mindset and programmed not to fear the unknown. Soon the burden of individualism will become obsolete. No more early deaths, instead we will all be born with a reliable MTBF rating.
If there is one thing a machine cannot do that a human can, I would vote for "having a sense of destiny and fullfillment". If a robot goes out and programs itself to do what it FEELS like, then machines have become human. And if we as humans do not celebrate our ability to pursue our individual destinies, then we become the machine.

You can substitute all those things, but you still cannot create anything that can truly analyse - the best computer in the world can only work with the facts it is given - and they do not dream.
Our emotions are more than chemicals - you are crediting too much to biology there.

Well, we created the machines. Maybe machines will create us one day too !! Who knows !
Think out of the box?
Machines are programmed.
No single machine is more versatile than a human.

We were not created, we evolved.
We make our own decisions, have always made our decisions and will continue to do so. Nobody controls us. This makes us unpredictable.
We can reproduce.
We eat and grow in size.
We have a heart.

That's what happens when you stop believing in religion; you lose touch with reality. Insanity is not an illness, but a vacation of the mind into another realm.

i think ur overwhelmed by the digital age we live in. well, our body can 'mend' itself. a machine is forever reliant on human beings. machines can't think for themselves, even if those robots could, they were created by humans.
