In a democratic set up. the people are the rulers of the country, not any Rajah or Nawab!
But milions of people could not assemeble at one place and decide what is to be done! So . instaed of ruling directly, they elect their candidates and they form the Parliament!
In the parliament all issues are duly debated by the ruling part and the opposition. Finally by vote a decision is taken.
If the opposition is well armed with facts and figures, the Govt, will hav to yield.
So it is not all the time the ruling party wins!
