PC has gone too far. In response to someone above me, you asked should you send a religious card to someone you know is not into religion? My answer is yes. If you are a friend, you should respect that I am religious, I'm not filling the inside of the card with a statement saying you're going to hell or anything like that. I'm just saying Merry Christmas in a way that shows who I am. I'm not forcing the issue on you or anyone else. Friends know that about each other, however in Bush's case, yeah he might actually be forcing the issue...lol
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Since the people living and/or working in the White House have the Constitutional right of expressing that they are Christians, of course they will send Christmas Cards. As far as I know a "building" itself it's an inanimate object incapable of sending anything. Barbara Walter is just calling attention to herself with such ridiculous stand.

Yes you did hear correctly! Very annoying. Get over it! This is out of control! Im so tired of us having to be so PC for a very small portion of people. Other countries like Canada and European countries make fun of us on how PC we have to be. They think it's down right ridiculous!
Everybody needs to lighten up and take it easy. My receommendations are to watch a few episodes of the "The Chappelle Show", "The Mind of Mencia" and the movie "Borat." These movies/shows are telling us to stop taking all the pc stuff so seriously and just laugh at it!

Crazy, isn't it? There used to be such things as common courtesy, gratitude and humility. Now, those things have been replaced by moral outrage, political correctness and intolerance. Well, there's tolerance -- as long as no one steps on your toes. Then the moral outrage kicks into high gear.
I suppose that if she got an atheistic Christmas card it would have been OK. Lord have mercy, how close are we to saying, "Happy HannaKwanRamaSolcticemas"?
Barbara has outlived her usefulness on TV. It's time for her to find a new life in retirement as a grandmother or a Wal-Mart greeter.

If you are Christian, do you really think it is appropriate to send people you know are not Christians religious cards? Isn't it like saying, I know you are lost and confused but I thought this card might change your heart and mind? Coming from the White House it would be especially loaded. I think we have heard from the five Christian fundamentalists, now let's hear from some people who get that this would be insulting.

Bush didn't send me one! The shmuck! What do you expect from Bush? A Merry Kwanza card? Oy Vay!
Imagine one like this from the White House: "We extend our best wishes for you, tovarisch, and your family on this day, the day the oppressed Proletariat waxed victorious over the capitalist Pig-Dogs! May Lenin watch over you always!" Hee hee. It'd be kinda cool.
I like pagan Xmas cards myself "Mithras is the REAL reason for the Season, you Xians just stole the idea from us Zoroastrians!"
