Start by looking at Bush's record for long term drug and alcohol use then come back and we'll talk.

When did George Bush address his alcohol and cocaine use? The resignation of Hillary Clinton's campaign worker who brought up the specter of drug use by Barak Obama was a wise and correct decision. But I do agree that Republicans would have used this issue in a general election campaign. I believe this issue has been effectively taken off the table.

Obama admitted to attempting drugs, and he is getting attacked for it. He's definitly not getting a free pass. However, he isn't any different than the large percentage of the American population who experimented with drugs. At least he admitted to it, unlike the 31 all star baseball players being linked to steroids in the Mitchell Report.

I don't recall Clinton being attacked all that much.
At least Obama was honest and said, I did inhale, that was the point.
I do not believe it is politically unacceptable to question him on the issue, I'm not sure how you came up with that.
Wasn't Bush a heavy drinker and cocaine user?

I do not agree with the actions in Libya. However, it is not an "illegal war." Many presidents before Obama have participated in actions only on the recommendation/approval of the UN Security Council. One huge example is Truman and the Korean War (although it has never been officially a war, and--fun fact--the conflict has never ended. It's in a state of permanent truce.)

Hell no! Bill Clinton got a pass too, and despite the fact that the liberal kooks consider him the "first black president", he's whiter than I am! We Jews are considered white n-i-g-g-e-r-s by the KKK, remember? Besides, if they have to go back to your teen years to find something wrong with you, you must have lived a pretty exemplary life!

I wouldn't call a little experimenting a "drug history", I think that's a little overboard. He was young and lots of people do things when they are young. His admitting his use and the fact that it was wrong is a tribute to his overall image as an honest person. We all do things that we wish we could change but somethings we carry with us our whole lifetime. Its better to have said it and move on. Its nothing to be proud of, but it happened.

A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.
Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes.

I don't support Obama one bit but bringing up a subject of the past that is totally irrevelant is pointless. Unless of course he is using drugs now, then that is a problem that would/should be addressed.

I don't think so. Bush got more of a free pass, and since to the best of my knowledge he isn't black, I'm thinking that it has more to do with his media connections.
