I'm attending my bf's college graduation tomorrow at University of WI Stout. There is a nice dinner for all the graduates and their guests following the ceremony. I don't know how formal the event is. He has no idea what I should wear either. I don't want to stand out. How dressy should I be?

i think a navy dress, sleeveless or halter, with a nice pendant silver necklace, silver kitten heels. sort of like what casey was planning on wearing to evan's parents dinner on greek.

Since the graduation is probably in the daytime, I'd suggest wearing the same sort of thing you'd wear to church or to a daytime wedding--minus the hat, since people will want to see over you. If you have a sleeveless winter dress with a matching jacket, you could wear it and then take the jacket off for a more evening look at the dinner if that seems in keeping.with what the other women are wearing. A suit with a camisole would also work. You could fill in the neck with a scarf at the graduation and take it out for the dinner. If others are wearing dressier outfits than you are, well, you'll probably be one of the youngest there, and as long as you're not absolutely casual, you'll fit in very nicely..

Your college should tell you what to wear. Generally you wear dress clothes. Girls wear dresses with heels, flats, or fancy sandals. However, at my fiance's community college graduation this year I did see some girls wearing nice shirts with dress pants, even though the majority of the girls wore dresses or skirts with a nice top.

I'd just wear a cute/ nice-ish dress and some heals. Nice makeup, nice hair. Nothing too over the top.

2 Thing you need to know Dress Comfortable.You can look nice and still be formal.Maybe a nice blouse and slaks or a knee length dress and open toe shoes

How about a nice simple black dress. nothing bright of color so it does not attract attention, just something nice and simple and you cant go wrong with black.
