I had my first violation yesterday! I didn't mean to violate or be too outspoken or even upset anyone but, the worst of it is? I was violated for COMMUNICATING!
I stupidly thought that was what Q & A was all about, communication!
I must be really thick, all I did was wish everyone a Happy Christmas!
I will probably be struck off now so,
Goodbye, everybody, I have to go
Gotta leave you all behind etc., (Queen song)
Just found out!!!! I made the huge mistake of wishing everyone a Happy Christmas!

Drama on Y/A again! It's a violation to chat and wishing Merry Christmas is considered that. Feel honored to join the club, I feel momentary annoyance like when a fly divebombs, just swat it and move on. lol

Haven't gotten one yet but am sure it won't be long cause I have been being a little mean spirited with some of the hate seniors questions. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too

SusieQ - how does it make me feel to get a Violation - like I finally belong to YA Seniors!!!!!!!! So chin up sweetie - you are now a bona fide member of this illustrious group. I have had two violations this week! No it does not bother me at all - just consider the source! One was for advising a college kid that I would not do his homework for him because he would never be able to think for himself if everyone helped him. And the other one was for supposedly insulting another member - no clue as to whom that might be - nor does it cause me concern. YA is not the end of the world. MERRY CHRISTMAS SuzieQ. CJ

I got a violation (my only one so far, but I'm just a baby YAer) for answering in the form of a question! I guess people get mad at question posters who are "supposed to" be asking questions, but just tell us something (like poor you), so some troll was annoyed that I answered with a question! I believe it was some person who wrote some almost information-less inquiry about history, like "Wen did the war end in ureupe?" Excuse me for asking "What war?" Happy, happy Christmas, dear!

Oh I think we've all had a violation or two from YA, you can appeal it and if you're very nice most of the time they apologize and restore your points.
My ego doesn't hang on YA violations or non violations, without people participating on YA it wouldn't still be here.
So calm down, it's usually young kids who do it until their supervisors have a look and it get revised.

I feel pretty pissed off. The only times I have gotten violations I did not think the question was offensive at all, one even had like 26 answers and no one seemed to be offended. Whatever

Personally, I think the Y/A staff are anal, but that's just MY humble opinion. That's a psychological disorder. Some punk kid wanted someone on Y/A to do his/her homework for him/her, and I told him/her to not be lazy and not be a plagiarizer expecting someone to do their home work. I got a violation. I didn't challenge it, but told the folks at Y/A it was nonsense. They more or less to told me to suck wind. If REAL LIFE was as anal as Y/A sometimes can be, I'd shoot myself.
I wonder if the Y/A staff is as perfect as they expect US to be.
I'm on my second Y/A account, too.

Happy Christmas to you too Susie Q. Getting a violation on here just comes with the territory. I got one for tell everyone that I appreciated them - ZAP . . . got the email that said I broke the rules. Oh well, live & learn. I'll probably get one for my responses to some the recent mean-spirited questions that have been posted lately. C’est la vie!
