eh, it don't matter. i know, for me, it's harder for me to hit orgasm while on my period, but, at the same time, it makes cramps much less painful.

don't listen to ppl that tell u you're gross, it's not gross, it's part of being HUMAN.... Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. as long as both of you are comfortable, and willing, then go for it. if not, then wait a week. ;)

good luck!!

A OK. Some women feel more need for sex during period. It doesn't have to be messy, just innovate, the shower is a great idea, or the last days of the period when there's a bit less flux, but it all depends on the women's period and on the fact that you are both willing.

I find it enjoying but only in the circumstances I said, and be very hygienic because as all types of intercourse bodily fluids and sensitive areas exposure can lead to irritation or even infections.

Personally, I think it's the best time to have sex, here's why:

-less chance of pregnancy (although protection is still a must)
-more natural lubrication
-after sex, you can just put a tampon in and no 'leakage'!
-my husband finds it exciting! It's like something 'forbidden' that men aren't supposed to know about!
-heightened arousal!

When we do it there is actually very little mess. We put a towel down but have never even gotten anything on the towel.

Now, this isn't for everyone. Of course, if your guy faints at the sight of blood, it isn't really the most romantic of things so maybe stay away.

Anyway, I'm for it!!

Yes you can its a personal choice that I guess both partners have to be ok with. I've heard it can be messy and I've also heard its not as messy as some would think. There is a chance though that you may still get pregnant so a condom would be recommended.

i read somewhere that there is an increased chance for infection if you have intercourse during menstruation. also, the current theory behind endometriosis is menstrual "backwash". in other words, menstrual material does not always exit the body through the vagina and can enter the pelvic cavity by way of the fallopian tube openings, etc. this material then adheres itself to other organs and acts just as "regular" menstrual material does, and sheds suring you period. this is what causes the pain. the adhesions and scar tissue and shedding, etc. so... i don't know, but the thrusting motions in intercourse could push some of the flow back into the pelvic cavity??? don't know, just thinking out loud... i have never heard of a doctor recommending it or speaking against it personally, though.

well the Truth is the only drawback is the mess, but that can be fixed with putting a towel underneath . for women it can be quite pleasurable during there period because there is more lubrication and sometimes the want for sex if actually higher during this time its perfectly fine to have sex during a period:)

There's no medical reason not to have sexual relations with your partner while her Aunt Flo is in town. It gets kind of messy, so you'll definitely want protection for both yourself and the bedsheets.

Why not? It can be pleasureful for the female and just make sure that your in a shower or your ready to clean up after wards, put a towel down first! In the bible your not suppose to do it though, but you make the call? Your not suppose to do a lot of things in the bible that us humans do... it is not recommended but your not advised not to do it either. I recommend it!

There is no recommendation on when to or not to, unless trying to conceive. It's not harmful at that time. Just be prepared for the mess.
