Not recently although I have had a lot of people tell me they are proud of me since I just finished my Associates Degree (first person with a college degree in my family). A lot of my professors have told me they are going to miss me and one professor told me that she had never met someone like me and she thinks she never will again - ... its been a sad day saying goodbye to all my friends that I care about here ...

Funny you should ask! Right now I am getting the appreciation thing bigtime because my 3 year term as
President of my local gay guy social club is ending,
and I am not wanting to re-up.

Yeah, my partner and I tell each other that all the time. Neither one of us like to say the L word, so we usually say things like "I appreciate you" or "I'm really thankful that you're in my life."

No, but I wish someone would. I am a very giving person and sometimes it hurts when you don't feel appreciated...so it would be nice to hear

Not really...it's been awhile since my partner has told me that...can't think of when work ever said that...my children do thank me for dinner every night.

My neighbor lady does all the time. I help her with groceries, her dogs and other chores that she can't do so well due to her ailments.
