What would you do!?

Question

Okay, what would you do if you and your husband could not have children there was nothing that you could do. But want one really bad, A friend offers to have sex with you to get you pregnant and the husband agees to this. No strings attached and the husband would be the father. What effects do you think that this would have in the long run????

Lots of q and a's later on from the child, if he/she ever found out. Why don't you adopt? There are many children in thsi country that need strong, loving families and the way you're thinking about making a family may cause some serious issues in the end. But, who am I to tell you what to do? Make your own decision and I guess if no one is going to be slighted by it, then go for it. Remember--it may not take just one sexual encounter with this "friend" to become pregnant. Consider that and how it may effect your husband in the long run. Good luck!

Adoption you never know if down the road this guy who is the donor wants to be a part of this kids life. Go to a sperm bank and just insert the sperm yourself no need to have sex with someone else to have a kid. Really use your head if your both this dumb are you sure you should be raising a child maybe that is why you can't have one naturally.

I think you have to research your options more because right now your sounding like confused screwed up people. If you want a kid so bad and you love the one your with you'd research all avenues before resorting to this idea.

Make sure you both want a baby if it is just you there may be
problems in future if you do go ahead and have a baby.

Many reprocutions could come of this venture do not do it.

BADDDDD....effects DONT DO IT ...this is your life not will and grace. Think long and hard about this one!! If it is a must lookat your options at the sperm bank or envetro or whatever. Do you know for a fact that you can have kids? The only reason i ask is because my cousin couldnt get prego and went through all the process' and finally got prego then the child needed a bone marrow transplant by 1 they did it he lived a few months then died...I am not able to have kids personally and after seeing that I decided that if you cant indoubtedly there is a reaso and there is no way I could deal with the death of a child.....I dont know if my answer was at all pertinent to you but i do hope I helped. Just seriously think about all the pros and cons and if you can later deal with the cons which ever way you decide to go.

I would give fertilization treatments and implantations a second thought as well as adoption. Fertilization treatments are expensive, and adoption can take a lot of time, but if you want a CHILD, then it is definetly worth the cost or the wait. Having sex with someone else could lead to psychological abuse in the long run, trust issues (after he questions himself if the other man was better than him and if you are willing to do it again) plus the issue of the kid not being his. Would you be ok with your husband having sex with another woman to bring the baby home? I think the risk is way too high. You want to win a baby, not loose a partner.

I think I wouldn't have sex with the friend, instead go the artifitial way. If he is willing and your husband is fine with it. GREAT! Adoption is also a great option. There are so many kids out there without a family to love them. Make sure all legal forms are done. Make sure if something was to ever happen the friend signs over all rights, and the husband adopts or does whatever he has to making that child legally his.

Please make sure you do the following,

1. make an appointment with a feritility speciliast - A good one - email me if you want a reference.
2. Get both of you checked and then if you cannot be helped proceed with step # 3.
3. do some research on using donor sperms and how you can do the procedure your self. do a google search or just go to http://www.pregnancy-info.net/infertility_medical_options_sperm_donor.html
4. You can get sperms from anonymous donors by going to sperm banks.
5. Monitor you cycles.
6. You can inject your self with the sperms at the appropriate time. It is not complicated.

Whatever you do, do not try to get pregnant by having sex with some one. This will complicate things for you and for your future kid.

I think even though your husband agrees, deep inside he will be deeply hurt. Put yourself in his shoes, can you imagine him sleeping with another girl??? I think rather than help your relationship it will only hurt it in the long run.

And you really dont know what will happen in the future with the real dad. What if he has a change in heart once the baby comes... You have to really think about these things.

How long have you been trying to conceive? Have u seen a doctor about this? I'm assuming your husband is unable to have children since you said there's nothing u can do. I in your shoes would consider adoption.

I don't think that you should be intimate with another man eventhough your husband agrees to it. I think that you should go to the clinics and get things done from there. This might bring a lot of problems between you and your husband in the long run.

It could have MAJOR effects... like your "friend" having and perusing his paternal rights down the road... If you and your husband can afford to have a child you both can also afford to wait a bit and enlist the help of a fertility clinic.

I wouldn't do that. If there was absolutely no way to have a baby with your husband, and you wouldn't consider adoption at all, then it's definately a better idea to at least get IVF with the guy who offered so you don't actually have to have sex.
