The only thing that happened as a result is, all these ignorant and naive message board posters are jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers. They don't seem to understand that most of the report is second hand information.
George Mitchell himself doesn't even know what's true and what isn't. He's just repeating what people close to the players told him. Yet all these naive people are being brainwashed by the media and treating it as a fact. Most of it is hearsay and would never hold up in court.
On top of all that, the investigation was obviously biased. He didn't look into the Red Sox organization deeply, if at all. The only reason there were a few Red Sox named is because the players that were named have ties with other teams and organizations. Example: Mo Vaughn is only on the list because of his ties to the Mets. If he was a life-long Red Sox player, then he would be protected right now by Mitchell, like most of the Red Sox players currently are.

The Mitchell report is a farse a witch hunt. It is a Bush report (pun intended). It is not a report at all. it sullies the names of great players, who used a suppliment not unlike amino acids, anyone object to that? This Andro, was not banned and not proved to be a steriod when players took it. Now they are being punished in the media after it has been banned when they took it prior to it beiong banned???? I thisi swere a court case it aoul dhave been trown out.
It is an attempt by Bush and his cronies, why eles would the president of the united states make a public coimmenty on the repoprt, to put the high priced players back in their place. To tarnish their reputations, drive down salaries, invoke a salary cap and keep these uptty players down.
It' s old rich guy republican BS. Jeeze I took a ssubtance yous said was ok and now you are punishing me, public humilatyion in the media, because yuo've no banned it????
Who else is buying this crap. Yhr mitchell report doesn't even deserve the name report. It is not a "report" it is a public humiliation pointing the finger at great players who did NOTHING wrong.

Make a difference to what.. Do you think people will stop coming to games because of it . if so then ask yourself , why did so many people come to the park when Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa , Bond and Jose Conseco god i hate to even say his name was chasing home run records in early 2000 everybody knew something was up , I love have loved baseball my whole life , but sometimes other fans make me sick with their crying about the purity of the games ,, my god what makes baseball any different then any other aspect of life everybody trys to get an edge , be it cheating on exam in college or back stabbing on job to get ahead , or please do not tell me that football or basketball there is no cheating ,,, it funny now that the beloved Clemens got named all sports reporters are talking about hearsay evidence where the same voices when it comes to Barry Bonds , I love to see the 500 ft. home run or a pitcher throw hard striking out every body be it on juice or not ,, I remember when I played baseball in college , I would smoke a joint before the to relax was i cheating ,,I prodict more fan then every will come out next season , and i will bet you will be there to ......
