It's not just the Disney stars!
Have you never seen "Kid Stars" on VH1 and E! channels? They show all the time Kid Stars revealed and how most of them, not just the Disney ones, get into that stuff. There are plenty of them that don't - like Annette Funicello of the original Mickey Mouse Club, or Hayley Mills, or Ashley Tisdale, and I don't think Mary-Kate and Ashley are totally into that scene! Jody Foster was a kid star and she turned out fine, so did Brooke Shields, Ron Howard, and thank God Drew Barrymore had the sense to pull herself out of it!
The thing of it is whether or not they have enough sense and are grounded people before they become stars. Decent kids grow up to be decent people. My brothers and sisters did televsion commercials and I was their stage mom on the set - we never were invited to "those" parties, and it's a lie that stuff is everywhere - I met very very few people drinking or doing drugs on most of the sets for the tv shows and movies we did. If those kids get into it - they choose to go out and find it, because it was certainly not in our faces when we were in Hollywood. Very few of the people on the set - the 20 assistant producers, the light guys, the set builders, the prop guys, the camera guys, the sound and microphone guys, the other parents of the other kids, or even the director and advertising agency people - none of them were doing drugs or alcohol on the set, and neither were too many of the actors and extras. In fact, everyone was pretty sober every time, they were too busy working to bother with it. ANd nobody offered me anything ever, and I was 19 at the time! Not once did I get hit on or offered to go to "those" parties!
The real question to ask is why those kids get into it! They go to "those" parties on their own - "those" parties are not out in the open. And where were "those" parties? My friends and I never found those parties, and we looked!

In life we all have choices to make. Everyone wants to use the Michael Jackson "I never had a childhood" excuse. You weren't robbed of your childhood, you're rich, nobody robbed you! Sure, there are stage parents that probably have pushed their children into doing these things, but ultimately it's up to the child, they just have to realize that.

Concerning Britney, I really feel that she wants independence. When she became a huge star at 17 everyone else was pulling the strings, she had little to no say in how she was promoted, marketed, and what she sang. Now that she's older she's desperately trying to break free from the puppet that she once was. She's just doing it all wrong. It's costing her everything. She needs to pull herself together and start fighting for those kids, because let's face it, K-Fart is certainly not the better parent. He left his gf barefoot and pregnant to be with Britney and he never cared enough to want to take his kids from their mother, but multi-millionaire Britney Spears, now hey, that's another story. She has money and you'd be a fool to think he doesn't have money for a motive because he'll get child support from her if he gets them permanently. She needs to hire a good legal team and start staying home.

Lindsay, is another person who might've been pushed into the business. Have you seen her mother? She dresses like she's Lindsay's age. Lindsay has a friend for a mother, not an actual mother. And it certainly doesn't help that her father has had run-ins with the law. I'm sure she's grown up and seen a lot of things that she certainly didn't want to see. I can understand that. I don't have the Brady's as parents either.

The one person I could care less about falling off the face of the earth is Paris Hilton. Atleast Britney and Lindsay achieved fame by hard work and entertainment. We can argue all day and night about their talent (or lack their of) but Lindsay and Britney didn't become stars overnight, they've worked! Paris just woke up one morning and decided that she wanted to be a star (it certainly helps if you have money to buy your way in). Britney and Lindsay don't come off as arrogant, self-centered, conceited, and superficial individuals. Paris is the true bad example. Brit and Linds were both respected at one time (and can earn their respect back) but as for Paris, nobody liked her from the beginning.

I don't think you can blame Disney. They don't know or choose their actors based on their backgrounds. They just meet these innocent likable kids and hire them. They don't know how screwed up their families might be.

It's not just them, they just get a lot of publicity. It is really all stars in general, or most of them, that's part of their celebrity; scandal. And part of being rich is doing drugs... And lets face it, everyone has sex, they just make it a public affair. So all in all, not all celebrities, but the majority of them are guilty of all these things. The whole Disney group is just put together in the media.

seriously huh? not to mention the vanessa hudgens girl who was in that diney movie. All the stars seem to have lost their minds. They dont care either because the more screwed up they are -the more publicity there is for them-which means more money fore them-people want to inteveiw them to see their side and pay them big dollars-honestly everyone shoud just ignore them so the kids that look up to these weirdos stop and can be kids and not crack addicts like their role models.

Not to mentioin its their parents fault..look at Drew Barrymore and lindsay Lohan

it's partly how they are brought up.. When I was a kid I used to live next door to a child actress.. I was hhm 10 , she was 7.. but she didn't act like a child.. more like an adult.. It was strange in that aspect. It's not a normal upbringing.

I think kids need to be kids and hanging around adults so much isn't great.

I would never send my kids to stage school unless they REALLY wanted to go.. or boarding school, as I dated someone for a while who went there and she is seriously messed up and hates her parents for packing her off there.

They all have a high exposure to that right from birth. They need to do something beyond that ordinary doesn't like to. By doing such kinda things, they create sensations about themselves and the one way of publicity. Anything bad will reach the people so easily than anything that is good.

their "scandals" aren't anything that normal teens wouldn't do...and as for the drugs, alot of "normal" kids dont do them because they can't afford them, they're not around them.
when it comes to cocaine, thats very popular with stars because it keeps you skinny!

Ever heard of the columbian diet? Stars would use that so that they can keep their weight down...I think the teens see that and they're around that...so why not try it?

because they dont grow up like us... they are envied and taken pictures of 24-7 and can't dodge the media... it is a hard and stressful life... and they have to much money to handle and no real responsiblity so they party and do stupid stuff becuase they really had that responsibilty talk with there parents... lol

Its celebrities in general.....but at the same time ALOT of people in the world are doing the same and WORSE things then these celebrities its just they arnt followed around with cameras!
