During here stint in the senate, She was always refered to as Hillary Rodam Clinton Always the double barreled last name, but now that she is in full swing of her presidential bid she is being referred to as just Hilary Clinton.

I wonder if this is a decision made by her campain or something that just happened? I wonder if her campain has seen it as a way to garner more support tie her closer to bill or just something the press has done?

An intresting query. My guess is that to be elected Senator she had to seem more independant from Bill. Now that she wants to be President they are probably trying to draw more focus onto the Clinton name. Just a guess.

Actually there was an announcement from her campaign headquarters several months ago that she was dropping the 'Rodham' from her name for the duration of the campaign. I remember it well because that was the day I started using 'Rottenham" in all my posts and answers concerning her. Previously I had not used 'Rodham'.
What's in a name anyway? A rat is a rat by any other name!

It's a marketing scheme in order not to confuse voters. If they went to the polls and wanted to vote for her they would be looking for someone named Rodham most likely.

JAJADAJA, sets forth an interesting tidbit of information.
Very perceptive, young lady, VERY INTERESTING, INDEED.
HHMMMM, in case Billary were to ever inject anything having to do with someone else's name, this could be used, to fire back.

If you recall, during Bill's first campaign in 1992, she was Hillary Clinton. After he was sworn in, she became Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Just another example of Hillary pandering, trying to please everybody.

Vote for Rudy!

Oh its easy, Hillary will be the president, its true most people dont like her, but the hatred for hillary has nothing to do with her experience or potential, but rather, there are certain cross section who actually think, they must end the Clinton-Bush dynasty....but I really dont think tthe democrats are willling to sacrifice the white house by opting for obama, its clear that for most democrats, Hillary is the best shot ,risky though, but not as risky as Obama......on the day of caucasing, most people would grudginly vote for hillary with the hope that perhaps a strong Obama showing would guarantee the VP ticket.....am sorry to say, Obama is everything great and nice, but he can and will not be president or vice president, because he doewsnt have what it takes.........being charismartic does not guarantee victory, it helps, but when it comes down to the electoral college...he will be sacrificed, because he doesnt have the political machinery, and if Obama becomes presidnt, he would soon discover that it can be lonely at the top without a strong political base. and machinery, and trust Oprah cant even help...he can build on what he has now and see maybe but i really do doubt......what he need is the king makers to be at his beck and call...right now, i dont see it jhappenning

Funny how she's looking to ride ol' Slick Willie's coattails now that she's running for president... looking to capitalize on that Clinton name.

It just proves she's riding on the coat tails of her unfaithful husband.
