Just recently. I am in the running for a promotion at work and I have only been there 7 months. That just floors me.

This person who has come into my life that has changed the way I look at things, I really don't feel like I have been "good" enough in life to deserve someone so wonderful..but I am not complaining a bit....

I also have a new friend who is just so nice and supportive I really don't deserve this one but hey who turns down a friend who is in the same situation you are?

Yes, I won tickets to see the Stones at RFK, while getting dressed to board the 'Party Bus' had the radio on and won tickets to see them in Hampton Scope, VA.

Maybe I didn't deserve it, but my sister is/was the biggest Stones fan ever, so I took her to both concerts as my 'guest'.

"Deserve" is such a bizarre word. It suggests entitlement, and people feel entitled to all sorts of things that they obviously haven't earned.

I rarely feel entitled to good things, but I often feel that I've earned them, and often enough don't get them when I've earned them because the people handing out the rewards are giving them out for something I didn't know about.

But I think I've been cheated out of enough good things that I just feel when unexpected ones show up that they're a little bit of balancing justice.

Easy life, I still want it though, it's the only good thing I have... I don't think "deserve" would be the most appropriate word for my choice...

Yes. On 02/23/04 I asked God to please help me and I haven't had a drink or a drug since that day. I don't know why He chose to spare me when so many others still suffer.
