We open 1 present each on Christmas eve and the rest Christmas day.

My family has always opened Christmas Gifts at a Gathering on Christmas Eve, where Aunts & Uncles, Cousins, Sisters & Brothers were all in attendance. Then on Christmas Day each individual family unit spends the day with IMMEDIATE FAMILY and opens gifts with them. If you have alot of Relatives this works out pretty well...and if you are married
it also allows you to visit the "spouses" family on Christmas Day if needed. I hope this helps you enjoy the holidays!

I personally like to open up gifts on Christmas morning. But I have in the past done it on Christmas Eve too.
