The sky actually cleared up lastnight! We saw so many we couldnt even count! Anyone else see a lot?

We drove out to our favorite star gazing spot in the desert. The sky cleared over head and we saw about 2 dozen in less than a half hour. The temperature was dropping fast so we did not stay longer.

The Geminid meteor shower peak has past us now but it is not over yet! You can still see some best if you get away from the city lights to a darker sky location. If you stay in the city you will only be able to see the bigger and brighter ones. Meteor showers last for days and when the experts talk about the expected peak that doesnt mean that it is done and over. Go out and look up. Be patient. They are usually measured in meteors per hour and this one is expected to be pretty active.

why? the be conscious the Geminids doesnt sound 0.5 as cool because of the fact the Leonids facebook prestige: purely watched the Leonids final night <--------"staggering" facebook prestige: purely watched the Geminids final night <------"What? Is that some form of slang for genitals?"

We saw a few... there were some that looked like they started below the horizon, and fell *up*. But, it was too cold to stay outside very long. (I'm in California, and it got down to below 70 degrees!)

I watched this morning for about 15 min and did'nt see any!!
Was about 4am in calif.
