The "Lust for Life" song comes to mind...but also... I was watching a UPS commercial...the one with the whiteboard...and the song playing in the background was "Such Great Heights" by....The Postal Service.

the song "through glass" is played before dallas stars games, i like the song, but in the song they say "and its the stars,the stars who lie to you"

Years ago, the Gap used CCR's Fortunate Son in a patriotic fourth of July commercial...... funny, seeing that its a protest song that criticizes the government

Wrangler jeans used Fortunate Son by CCR in an effort to market their jeans to blue-collar American males, and that song is about how the govt. sucked as$ during the Vietnam War era, what with the draft and all.

I thought that Disney had an odd one last year when they had "surrender" by Cheap Trick on one of their commercials. Considering that the song is about STD's and sex.
