It depends on what person you are: if you travel too much and really use a computer, then you should get a laptop. But if you don't travel much or don't really use the computer then get a desktop.

Laptops because there is battery if the charger is turned off. If desktops, if the electricity shut down, it will turn off too.

for me, if i were to compare both? I prefer to have a phone, microsoft office, internet or wireless and etc in one place.. i guess there is but the chances are when you check your e-mail with one of of the smart phones it wont show everything.. particularly i would find something with everything in it.. and most preferably light weight and more space..
