Let her enjoy a nice bubble bath with candles while you make a delicious dinner for the two of you! Than after dinner tell her you'll get the dishes. Before you do the dishesm, give her a nice long body massage with good smelling lotion and make sweet love to her! Than maybe you can have desert ready and let her enjoy that while you do the dishes. When you're done, just cuddle up on a couch and watch The Notebook! or any movie she loves. :-)
You don't need things to be happy :-)

If I was your wife I'd love to be taken out for a walk in the park or something, feed the ducks maybe. Then have dinner cooked for me, a couple of candles on the table, followed by a rental dvd of a favourite film, (find out which one from her sister / friends) and a small present to keep to remind me of the day. The best bit would be if you seemed to be enjoying it too, it would feel like a real shared day, something to treasure. Good luck!

Cook dinner. Candles on the table. Flowers. How hard is that.
Stop being a baby. You should know her better than we do. So, why have you not been paying attention? If you have to get this type of advised from a website that seems kinda lame and without imagination on your part.

Pamper her. Make dinner. Draw her a bath. Put candles in the bathroom. Use nice stuff in the bath. (you can buy single use oils/bubble bath and all if money is that tight) Give her a massage. Do her toe nails. If she digs them, watch a chick flick with her. You can spend a few bucks, and make her feel very special.

Think of all the reasons you love her, or fell in love with her, and write each one down on a small card. Tie all the cards together with a bow and give that to her. She will probably keep them forever.
Saying that you really appreciate a character trait is much better than you liking something she does. To say it another way, complementing who she is is much more meaningful than complementing something she has done.
Note:
"I love the way you wash my clothes".... not good.
"Often, during my day, I look down at my clean, pressed shirt and I am so grateful for your dedication as my wife. You give me confidence, and your love for me affects every moment of my day for the good." ..... much better.

Make an homemade card because it comes from your heart (really better than one from the store). Also plan something romantic for her...... candles, flower petals(dont have to be roses) in the bedroom; a homemade dinner for just the 2 of you; a pinic either indoors(if its cold) or out doors.

If she is an understanding wife, she wouldn't expect much from you. Buy her a single stalk of red rose, go out for a dinner you can afford,( fast food included.)

Make up a little booklet filled with "coupons" for nice things you can do for her, that she can present to you at any time and have you do. Like, there will be a coupon for one free massage by you. Or a coupon for one dinner cooked by you. A coupon for one cleaning of the kitchen. Whatever things she likes you to do. You could also put in a couple sex-related coupons for things she likes you to do to her. I guarantee it will be her favorite gift ever!

you could always tell her that you couldnt find anything that was as beautiful as she is and the only thing that comes close is the stars and make a moonlight dinner for 2 and sit there and look at the stars together .... sounds corny but it just might work!!!
