Since you're kinda retro-y you could have a name that makes a reference to time, like "Yesterday's Tomorrow" or something more badass like "Past Demented" (that works as both "beyond demented" and "a demented past period of time").
Play with words until you find something you like. You'll be happier if you come up with something yourself. If you make it big and people ask you where you got your name, do you really want to say "From some dude on Yahoo Answers"? =)

Hendrix covered Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" beautifully Clapton and Guns n Roses - covered Dylan's "Knocking On Heaven's Door" and both are awesome covers. Pear Jam did a credible cover of J Frank Wilson's "Last Kiss" and Creed did a remarkable cover of the Doors song "Riders On The Storm" but my favorite cover is Metallica's cover of "Turn The Page" MQ - Hendrix wins that battle even though I prefer Led Zeppelin as a band over Jimi's music. MQ2 - Easy Led Zeppelin unless you count the Beatles as classic rock. I consider them more pop than rock. MQ3 - The Beatles played blues, country, rock, pop as well as a lot of world music. Lynyrd Skynyrd is a Southerb Rock Band but much of their music could fit into country.

Coin a name from an old blues tune for a name-it worked for the Rolling Stones and other bands. How about the "Back Door Band"?
