It's actually 2x in every three years. Since this was a 3 years cycle...it appears to be every 2 years for the Pacific division..............but that really is not the case.
In 2005-2006, the Leafs did not play the Central division
In 2006-2007, the Leafs did not play the Pacific division
In 2007-2008, the Leafs are not playing the Northwest division
