Someone told me last night that Drew had been on of the 22 or so quarterbacks the bears have had since Bret Favre started for Green Bay.

Your kidding right? Drew Bledsoe was the starter for nearly a decade before Brady took over in the last week of the 2002 season when Bledsoe got hurt. He lost a Super Bowl in 1996 against the Packers as a Patriot and was taken in the 1991 Draft in the Top 10 (I think) by the Patriots.

No he didn't play for the Bears, but they did consider offering him when he was a free agent and they had talks at one point about trying to get him in a trade....he never played there though.

Here are the Bears QB's since Favre has been in the league:
Shane Mathews
Rick Meier
Rex Grossman
Chad Hutchinson
Cade McNown
Jim Miller
Kordell Stewart
Jim Harbaugh
Erik Kramer
Dave Krieg
Kyle Orton
Brian Griese
Jeff Blake
Craig Krenzel
Jonathan Quinn
Chris Chandler
Henry Burris
Cory Sauter
Moses Moreno
Steve Stenstrom
Steve Walsh
PeterTom Willis
Will Furrer

That is since Favre's first year in the NFL in 1991. I think Furrer played in 1991 for the Bears, when Favre was still in Atlanta.

Whoever told you Drew Bledsoe played for the Bears must have gotten their facts wrong. Drew Bledsoe played for the New England Patriots from 1993-2001, the Bills from 2002-2004, and the Dallas Cowboys from 2005-2006.

nope. He never played for the Bears.
He was drafted by the Patriots just after Bob Kraft bought the team and played with them until 2001 when he was injured and tom brady became the quarterback. After the end of that season, he went to Buffalo. Buffalo stupidly got rid of him after a couple lack luster seasons and he went to Dallas. At the end of last season he retired.

On a side note, if the Bears had him they could very well be real contender. Drew is a far better than average quarterback although he is not a manning or brady. He is still very good, as a Pats fan I was sad to see him retire.
