how do i find the limit here?

lim (x+6) / (x^2-36)
x->6

The limit doesnt exist.

From the left, it approaches negative infinity
From the right, it approaches positive infinity

Factor the denominator:
(x^2 - 36) = (x-6)(x+6)

Now you can finish it off to find the limit.
