I lived fast, figuring I was going to die young, but I got screwed, and now I`m old and all beat up, but with some great memories.

Speaking solely for myself; I've missed the boat on the die young bit. I truly didn't think I'd live past 30, and even told my husband that I probably wouldn't live that long when we got engaged. I'm now nearly 20 years past 30 and not only am I still alive, but my husband still thinks I'm a babe. Life can be amazing at times. I'm not really all that great looking, but I agree with the answers that say it's all about attitude. A young man who works at a coffee shop I frequent called me 'sweetie' last Thursday. I'm his elder by decades, I wasn't wearing make-up, and was feeling every one of my years....until a young guy called me sweetie. I have too many scars, swollen joints, and sun spots to leave a beautiful corpse; but I had fun earning each and every one of them. I don't live as fast as I did when I was young, at least not as often, but I also don't miss the angst. I still rebel once in awhile, but even when I was young I was never a rebel without a cause.....to be honest, I'm not sure that Jimmy, or Janice, or Jim, or Marilyn, or James Dean left beautiful corpses, they left some broken hearts though.

No, I have a husband and 2 kids. That adage is not for me anymore. Now I live by "Take it one day at a time,and make the most of each day in the process."

Yes I live fast and plan to die young! I do what I want when I want to do it. I pierced my lip at 2:30 am this morning! :)
People need to go live it up.

Use to live like that, then I grew up, got married and had kiddos. I live a more responsible life now and wouldn't take anything in this world for it!! I so love my life!!!!

I don't know where you get your info, but it seems to me that the majority of people do what they want, when they want and then blame the consequences on someone else.
