Not nearly as clever as yours, but it got me thinking. What if bats were builders of poems? Each time we saw one fluttering through the night they were collecting words instead of insects.

nyuk, nyuk. Actually, I would say reverse. Although that could equally well apply to someone who uses the same couplets over and over. Reminds me of the news report I saw a while ago of a counter-culture poet who was badly burned in an unfortunate free-versing accident. When my wife was pregnant she used to go to a poetic doctor who wrote all her chart notes in obverse.
