I knew a dude who was (before 9/11) wanting to sneak a brick of hashish from Amsterdam back to the US. Hashish is legal there.
He asked his taxi driver if he thought he could get away with it, and the driver said he shouldn't try to.
Soooo, the dude broke off a chunk of the hash, handed it to the driver, and ATE the rest of it.
He was stoned out of his mind for about two weeks.
