You know, I would like to say none, but we all know thats not true. I dont think we necessarily look for attractiveness. I think subconsiously we look for models that have similar characteristics to ourselves. For example, a brunette would be more likely to pick an ad that also had a brown haired model.

I only mean for a few seconds before the logic part of your brain kicks in. I dont think we consiously do this. The models dont affect which brand i purchase. I let the product speak for itself, not let the ads speak for it. (people get paid tons of money to make products look good in ads... you can make ANYTHING look good...)

None at all. Those women are not me! I am my own person. I don't purchase cosmetics based on how they make someone else look. I don't have the same chemical balance that the woman/model has, so the cosmetics may not have the same desired effect on me. I would rather take my chances and try it out for myself. Process of elimination!

Besides... they have that make-up on, but they are also touched-up by a computer. Nobody looks that perfect.

No effect. Models are basically clothes-hangers. Companies want to emphasize the product, not the model.

well, it means nothing, if i'm in a good mood. and if i've had a bad day, and i am discouraged with how i look, it means a lot more than it should.
