atlanta players had spent this entire season griping about petrino.... griping in a way that they wanted him gone. he left, and they whine because he "quit" on them. the owner can at any point fire the head coach without warning -- see dan reeves. this same owner is shocked and upset that his head coach quit without warning. seems everyone wants to play both sides of it.

As with all snake oil salesman, Blank believes something is right when he does it. Blank firing Reeves=ok. Petrino firing Blank=not ok.
