He seemed to have disappeared about 1978 or so. I happen to own the 30/30 Winchester rifle used in the 3 Billy Jack movies with the saddle scabbard and BJ initials. Not a prop gun either. The real thing and manufactured in 1954. Tom Laughlin was pretty good in martial arts too. Used the Tai Chi Sholin style. Never met him. I purchased the rifle from a guy in the studio props department. One of the more valuable guns in my collection.

I haven't thought of those movies in years! I remember my folks taking me to the outdoor theater to see them when I was little. I wonder whatever happened to him.......

Yeah he has played in a lot of movies in the sixties and seventies besides just the Billy Jack series.
He has also ran for President a couple of times as well. The last as a Repulbican against the war that wants to empeach George Bush.
He is mostly a "B" movie actor and director but has played in a couple of "A" movies I think. I think he played in Gidget as well.
The one Billy Jack movie I liked best was the one which samurai swords were also used because to me at the time that was funny as heck.mixing six guns and samurai swords. I don't remember the name of it though.
Reason I remember them first wife hated most westerns but liked the Billy Jack Movies mainly because of him being in them. Think she had a crush on him.

EDIT: Never cared for the Winchester 30/30 though. Mainly because of no safety and top ejection. However, like the Marlin 30/30 which is what I use to hunt with most of the times when not using my Hawkins muzzle loader.
