I started my son a few days ago. He had begun waking up more often than usual prior to the solids, but he wakes up about every two hours. I am trying to figure out a possible cause. He's not too hot, not too cold, only eats once or twice (and not that many ounces), pj's are comfy, etc.

He's four months with a corrected age of five months as he was nearly 4 weeks overdue.

I def. had that problem. I was excited because I thought solids made them sleep better but for my little girl it made her sleepy but it also made her wake up more frequently at night. I called my pediatrician and asked her if I could give my daughter solids in the morning instead of the evening and she said that was fine and it pretty much solved the problem.

Could he possibly be teething? Around the time babies start solids is when some start teething, so it might just be coincidence. Check his gums to see if there are any little white spots or if he is drooling and chewing toys more than usual.

Usually it has to do more with teething than with solids.

How old is your baby? Maybe solids are causing him some kind of discomfort, gas, etc.

thee is no corelation, infact when babies start eating solids they sleep longer as thier stomacks are fuller (solids take longer to digest).
