It sounds to me like some kind of "middle ground" philosophy. An example that comes to mind is the belief that Republicans are just as wrong as Democrats and the truth is in the middle.

Under the prevailing (though failing) Western view of truth as conformity to reality, this is not true. A thing exists and its opposite does not necessarily, or even usually, exist.

There is no absolute truth, only relative truth...

...and perhaps the most compelling truths are at a mid-point between extreme points of view.
