If the adults would stop talking about it the kids would not know. It is entertainment these are grown men let them do what they want. I love baseball I have never seen needle in baseball. I would hate to see a boring baseball game with no homers or strike outs. The question cant we just leave these entertainers alone? They are adults let them do what they want.

I agree with you partially:
I don't know how the kids are being hurt. I think that it's good for parents to discuss the cons of using steroids or any other performance enhancement drugs. But to sit there and say that baseball is destroyed because of it is ridiculous. There will still be entertainment in the game, because not EVERY player used steroids.
I agree that we should leave these players alone, but what they did was wrong. There are rules in the league that they should abide by. Perhaps the media shouldn't publicize it so much that it causes people in your situation to fear that baseball is ruined as we know it. It isn't our business to know who did what and why-- they do deserve their privacy.

Do they talk about the steroid scandal during the game? If so, then just turn the sound down. If they don't, then make the TV Guide your friend, and avoid TV, newspapers, internet, etc. unless they are actually broadcasting a game.

Personally, I think it's disgusting someone would ruin their health for the sake of a ball game. Ball games should be fun -- even amateur games can be lots of fun!

Although, I guess some people would think that all the gossip-mongering and tsk-tsking is fun, too.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am so sick and tired of having the news tell us how disappointed we all are by athletes who use steroids. I'm not disappointed: I don't give a sh*t. All of my heroes are people who make REAL accomplishments anyhow, like soldiers, scientists, artists, not people who make ARTIFICIAL accomplishments in sports. Hell, there oughta be a steroid league, where only athletes who use steroids are allowed to play. I'd certainly pay to watch that! It's their damned body, let them do whatever damage they want to it. That's always been my opinion on the war on drugs. What is the government our mommy? That's a seperate issue, though. I say, stop putting so much emphasis on such empty pursuits as sports in school, anyway.
